Batken State University
Batken State University was formed by Decree No. 190 of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic of July 25, 2000, combining the branches of OshMU and OshTu in the cities of Kyzyl-Kiya and Sulukta, a branch of Osh Higher Pedagogical College in Sulukta, and an educational advisory center of the Kyrgyz State Pedagogical University I. Arabaev. The main institution of Batumu is located in the city of Batken, the university was founded with a view to socio-economic and cultural development of the Batken region and to reduce the shortage of educated personnel. One of the features of the only higher education institution in the Batken region is the location of the university’s branches in different cities of our region, depending on the geographic location and living conditions of our people. In the city of Kyzyl-Kiya, the Kyzyl-Kiya Multidisciplinary Institute (KKTI) and the Kyzyl-Kiya Pedagogical Institute (KPI) operate, the Sulyukta Territorial Institute (AIS) and the Sulyukta Teachers College are located in Sulukta, and Batken The main institution of BatMU is the Faculty of Natural Science and Pedagogy. Over 17 years of existence, our university has found its place in the list of higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, which meets all the requirements of the higher education system. The mission of the university is to train qualified, responsible personnel who meet all the requirements of the labor market. In order to provide our graduates with jobs, our university works closely with local firms and enterprises. The university has all the conditions for the training of professional staff: modern technical equipment, special training laboratories, classrooms using interactive boards, computer classes connected to the Internet, sports halls, etc. The university has 3 institutes, 1 faculty and 2 colleges. Currently, the university has over 200 teachers and over 6,000 students. 131 teachers work according to the program of higher special education, 5 of them are doctors of science, professors, 42 are candidates, associate professors, and 138 teachers are employed by the program of secondary special education, 5 of them are doctors of science, professors, 43 are candidates and associate professors. In organizing the educational process, information technologies are widely used; in drawing up the training schedule, not only the established forms are used, but the forms of lectures, practice, seminars and laboratories in accordance with modern educational standards, which are being developed every minute. Also, to strengthen the knowledge gained at lectures, production and other practices are conducted. The period and amount of practice depends on the specialty and direction. The practice schedule is drawn up in the school year before the start of the lesson. For the organization of the practice, agreements were signed with firms and enterprises of the Batken region.
