From October 28 to 31, 2024, the International Youth Forum on the fight against human trafficking was held in Central Asia, with young leaders, students, activists, and experts from across the region participating to address the gender aspects of human trafficking. Karina Nazarova, from the Business Incubator of BatSU, participated in the event.
✅ Participants from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan gained insights into the gender dimensions of human trafficking, the risks of illegal migration, as well as international standards on labor and human rights. They recognized human trafficking as a form of gender-based violence and explored preventive strategies to strengthen anti-trafficking policies in the region.
The forum served as a networking platform for Central Asian youth, providing them with practical experience and sharing best practices to enhance regional cooperation in the fight against human trafficking.
