The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, in order to implement the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic No. PЖ-270 dated October 24, 2023, “On the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region” and in honor of Youth Day on November 10, organized the “Footsteps of Ancestors” national intellectual competition among young people.
The purpose of the competition was to convey to the youth the historical significance of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and to deepen their knowledge about the history, culture, and social development of the country.
42 teams from across the republic participated in the competition. Among them, students of Batken State University also participated with dignity.
