On January 28, 2025, a master class on “Digitalization of Hydroponics” was held at the main campus of Batken State University (BatSU). Local farmers, agronomists, private entrepreneurs, university faculty, and students participated in the event.
The master class, focusing on the implementation of automated hydroponic systems to improve agricultural efficiency, was conducted by Elena Gennadyevna Popkova, an Honored Worker of Science and High Technologies of the Russian Federation, an honorary professor of Batken State University and Osh State University, and one of the Top 2 most-cited scientists in the Russian Federation according to Scopus rankings (2019–2022).
Participants learned about modern technologies, scientific approaches, and practical solutions aimed at the sustainable development of the region’s agriculture and had their questions answered.
The master class was organized to promote a scientific approach to agriculture, a key sector for the Batken region, and to implement the “University 4.0” model.
