On April 7, Batken State University hosted a scientific-practical conference titled “The Political Lessons and Historical Impact of People’s Revolutions”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the March 24 People’s Revolution and the 15th anniversary of the April 7 People’s Revolution.

The aim of the conference was to analyze the historical significance of the March 24 and April 7 events, their influence on political, social, and economic processes, and to discuss their long-term impact on contemporary society.

The conference was attended by the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Batken region, Zhanibek Isakov, heads of regional institutions, faculty members, and students of BatSU.

At the plenary session, two keynote speeches were delivered:

  • Rector of Batken State University, Doctor of Economics, Professor A.T. Giyazov presented a report entitled: “People’s Uprisings in the Path of Political Renewal in Kyrgyzstan: Causes and Future Prospects.”
  • Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Sh.B. Sherov delivered a report titled: “The Color Revolutions of 2005–2010 as the Starting Point of Transformational Processes in the Public and Political Life of Sovereign Kyrgyzstan.”

The conference continued with sectional sessions, where over 10 academic articles were presented.

At the end of the event, prayers were offered in memory of those who lost their lives during the events of March 24 and April 7.
