From April 17 to April 23, Batken State University’s Central Library Hosted the Week Titled “Reader and Author: Rights, Respect, Development”, Dedicated to World Book and Copyright Day.

The week included the following events:

  • April 17 — The opening ceremony and a student conference on “Raising the Importance and Role of Books in Society”;
  • April 18 — A free discussion titled “Aren’t You Afraid of Students’ Questions?” with Doctor of Economics, Professor A.T. Gyiazov;
  • April 21 — A competition “Pages of the Story” based on the historical novel “Broken Sword” by T. Kasymbekov, where winners were announced;
  • April 22 — A meeting with authors who have written books over the past five years, including the presentation of their works;
  • April 23 — The conclusion of the week with the awarding of certificates and gifts.
