On September 25, 2024, the first meeting of the Academic Council of Batken State University was held. During the meeting, amendments were made to the composition of the Academic Council, and the work plan for the 2024-2025 academic year was discussed. Additionally, the work plans of vice-rectors and directors, the results of the final certification for the 2023-2024 academic year, the outcomes of the recruitment competition for secondary vocational education departments, and various other issues were actively discussed, and decisions were made.
The Academic Council is an advisory body to the rector of a higher educational institution. Its responsibilities include addressing important issues related to educational and research activities, recruiting scientific staff, organizing competitions, and recommending candidates for academic titles and degrees.
Members of the Academic Council must hold academic titles and degrees. The Council’s decisions regarding competitions, and recommendations for awarding academic degrees and titles, are made through secret voting and submitted to the National Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic.
