On January 22, a meeting was held at the main building of Batken State University under the leadership of the rector of BatMU, Doctor of Economics, Professor Aidarbek Gyazov, regarding the prevention and elimination of corruption in education. The main goal of the event was to ensure transparency at the university and improve mechanisms for combating corruption.

One of the main topics of discussion was the recently adopted anti-corruption law. According to this law, individuals found guilty of committing corruption-related crimes cannot hold state or municipal positions, and, if they admit guilt, they are required to compensate for material damages. Close relatives of such individuals are also prohibited from working in state and municipal institutions. Severe punishment measures have been introduced, and fines are excluded.

During the meeting, the rector discussed the significance of the new law, ways to implement it, and the university’s responsibility for complying with its requirements. The introduction of this law was regarded as a significant step in the fight against corruption.

Emphasizing the negative impact of corruption in education on society, there was a call for decisive actions to prevent it. Proposals to strengthen trust among staff and students, introduce transparent management systems, and implement specific actions in this area were also discussed.

The meeting was attended by the faculty and staff of the university, who shared their views and suggestions on combating corruption. At the end of the event, it was emphasized that continued joint efforts are needed to ensure the effectiveness of the proposed actions.
