As part of his working trip to Batken region, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Albert D. Makhmetkulov, met with the staff of Batken State University.
During the visit, he familiarized himself with the current conditions at the university, ongoing work, the state of the academic buildings, and the institution’s responsibilities during the transition to a 12-year education system. He also discussed the implementation of tasks in the field of digitalization.
The meeting was held in a Q&A format, allowing for an open exchange of views with the university staff.
Afterward, Mr. Makhmetkulov planted a sapling in the university’s alley and inspected the construction of a new 100-bed dormitory, funded by the university’s own resources. The dormitory includes a reading room, gym, boxing area, and coworking spaces.
He provided feedback on the construction process and wished the university team continued success. The official opening of the dormitory is expected in the near future.
