In Tambov, Russian Federation, at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, a cultural and educational project called “School of Russian Language and Russian Culture” has been launched. The project will take place from August 20 to August 27, 2024, with participants being Russian language teachers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries.
The delegation from Kyrgyzstan includes Russian language and literature teachers from Batken State University: PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Sh. Zh. Erzhigitova, and the teacher of the “Yyman” Gymnasium, G. K. Samatova, representing Batken State University.
This project is being implemented on the initiative of the Rector of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, Pavel Moiseev, under the motto “University of Open Diplomacy,” aiming to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions of friendly countries and support the promotion and teaching of the Russian language abroad.
The following activities are planned as part of the project:
- professional development courses for Russian language teachers;
- exchange of teaching and methodological materials developed by TSU faculty;
- introduction to the culture and history of the Russian people;
- participation in a roundtable for experience sharing among project participants.
At the end of the project, a 36-hour professional development certificate will be awarded.
We have been actively cooperating with this university since 2023 based on a bilateral agreement. The expenses for the teachers’ business trip (accommodation, meals, and transportation costs within the Russian Federation) are covered by the host side.
