On December 11, 2024, the second meeting of the Academic Council of Batken State University took place. The agenda included:

  1. Report of the Admissions Committee of BatSU on the admission of applicants for the 2024-2025 academic year;
  2. Preparations for accreditation;
  3. Information on the BatSU Educational District and the Center for Professional Development for the 2023-2024 academic year;
  4. Competitive elections;
  5. Miscellaneous issues.

As a result of the meeting, the agenda items were discussed, and appropriate decisions were made.

Additionally, Aybek Ismailovich Kunnazarov’s dissertation on the topic “Improving the Efficiency and Sustainability of Natural Resource Use in the Kyrgyz Republic” (08.00.05 – Sectoral Economics), written in Kyrgyz, was approved by the Presidium of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Higher Attestation Commission. Anipa Tashbaevna Kalmurzayeva was awarded the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (05.13.16 – Application of Computer Technology, Mathematical Modeling, and Mathematical Methods in Scientific Research). Both were granted one-time bonuses of 80,000 KGS each from BatSU’s funds. In total, 5 works were successfully defended at BatSU in 2024.

In the “StartUP Students” competition organized by the “Innovation Center” under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, BatSU’s business incubator project “Water from Air” won first place and received a $1,000 funding certificate.

In a closed session, nominations for one professorial and two associate professor titles were voted on for submission to the Higher Attestation Commission: Aidarbek Toktorovich Giyazov for the title of professor, and Zairbek Osmonovich Osmonov and Joro Osmonovich Tolubaev for the title of associate professors.

Additionally, topics for postgraduate students were registered in the Higher Attestation Commission’s registry, and issues such as salaries and procurement procedures were reviewed, with corresponding decisions made.
