Students are well aware that the basic knowledge of the basic sciences, and especially in special subjects, must be obtained at lectures. However, no less, but much more information can be emphasized while working in the library, the importance of which for higher education cannot be underestimated. In recent years, many university libraries with large funds are beginning to introduce new information technologies. This is driven by the desire of the university to give students a better education.
As the BatGU SRI developed and grew, the library grew and formed. Its funds are universal and have more than 45 thousand units of storage. Readers are served by 2 subscriptions (scientific, educational and fiction literature) and 2 reading rooms, each of which has its own purpose and its composition of funds, where more than 50 titles of publications of the scientific, popular science, social and political direction, reference information reading room. The total area of the library is more than 200 square meters. The library serves about 2500 readers a year, carrying out more than 2.5 thousand books. The number of visits is more than 5 thousand a year. The library staff consists of 4 people.
Currently, the library is coping with a large flow of information that needs to be given to the student so that he can receive a quality science education. We started the innovation associated with the compilation of library processes, the creation of electronic catalogs, the emergence of network technologies and the use of Internet resources.
Exhibition halls with a changing theme, current issues of science, technology and new technologies, jubilees of leading scientists, works of employees of the BatSU SRI and many others are located in the reading rooms. Up to 12 exhibitions change per year. The reading room is characterized by a combination of trends, approaches and technologies of the past, present and future. This reflects the desire for harmony of these temporary categories in the library space of our institute.
The library fund of the institute is 53,730 copies, textbooks developed by the faculty 150, electronic books in Russian 107, in Kyrgyz 13,544 books for a total of 3,699 thousand 758 soms. Its funds are universal and have more than 45 thousand units of storage.
