 Batken State University is the head department of KHPI, which prepares profiles in the field of pedagogy “Pedagogy and methods of primary education.” The Department of Primary Education  has a 22-year history. The department was created on the basis of the merger of the two previous departments.

 By the decision of the Academic Council of the KHPI of the Batken State University, the director of the KHPI M.M. Tairov by order of dated August 12, 2000 No. 159/1 § 3, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology and the Department of Physical Education were created at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Physical Education.

The Department of Primary Education was first established in 1998 under the auspices of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Pedagogy.

 The department “Methods of primary education” was separated from the department “Pedagogy, psychology and primary education ” on August 12, 2000 by order of the director of KHPI No. 150/1. Japarov worked until March 2001. From March 2001 he was headed by teacher S. Otakhanov until September 2003.

  Since August 2003, an experienced teacher of the department, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Mitalipov K.M. He worked until May 2021. For twenty years he worked as a teacher in schools, head of the educational department, deputy director for educational work, director and currently director of the CPI of Batken State University. Awarded with the badge “Best in education of the Kyrgyz Republic”, “Kyrgyz language”.

From 2002 to 2006, Professor Zhoroev Abdisadir Arynovich was in charge of the Department of Methods of Primary Education. Since 2007, the Department of Methods of Primary Education has been headed by Senior Lecturer Talipov Zhenishbek Salievich. From 2011 to 2013, the Department of Methods of Primary Education was headed by Senior Lecturer Zh. Koshmatova. From 2014 to 2015, Ph.D. Berdiev Asan Toksonovich headed. In 2016, due to structural changes, the institute was renamed SPI and the department of primary education methodology was headed by Zhenishbek Salievich Talipov. Since 2018, due to structural changes, the institute has been renamed into KPI “Pedagogy”, candidate of pedagogical sciences. Madumarova Malohat Kosimovna Talipov Zhenishbek Salievich currently heads the Department of Primary Education in connection with the transformation of the institute into KHPI due to structural changes.

The team of BATSU KHPI has been working on the training of highly qualified specialists and improving their quality for 25 years. The Department of Primary Education is the head department serving the disciplines of the primary education profile at the KSPI Batken State University. In the first years, N.S. Temirov, doctors of sciences, R.P. Anarkulov, S. Zhaparov, B. Sydykov, experienced associate professors worked at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology. Since September 2008, the department “Pedagogy and Psychology” has been headed by a qualified teacher, master of his craft Kasymov T.K. The department was established on September 3, 2013 under the auspices of the Department of Distance Learning Technologies under the name “Pedagogy and Physical Education” in order to maintain a separate credit hour for the taught disciplines in the curricula of the undergraduate program for 2013-2014 academic year.

  The department is aimed at training personnel in the form of part-time education using full-time and part-time learning technologies with the teaching of subjects in the block of general mathematics and natural sciences and professional disciplines in the curriculum of 550,700 pedagogical disciplines of the profile “Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education”. Department has a special role in the training of teachers with higher education and plays an important role in equipping future teachers with classical and folk theories and practices of teaching, education, psychology and pedagogy, which are necessary for tomorrow’s professional development.

         The Department of Primary Education of the Pedagogical Faculty of the Institute prepares highly qualified teachers for the general teaching staff.

In accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Education” in schools of the Batken region in accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Education” on full-time and distance learning technologies In 2012, training of modern personnel in uniform began distance learning.

According to the developed curriculum, it is necessary to master the following stages of the basic bachelor’s program:

– B1 – humanitarian, socio-economic cycle;

– В2 – mathematical and natural sciences;

– B3 – professional cycle; sections

– B5 – practice and/or research work;

 In the humanitarian, socio-economic cycle of the curriculum, by order of August 28, 2013 No. 556 \ 1 (On approval of requirements for the structure, volume and mandatory minimum content of disciplines), a total of 1080 hours (36 credits), including 1020 hours (34 credits ) in the main part The section says 60 hours (2 credits). In the variable part of this cycle, eight disciplines are offered (culturology, religious studies, psychology, pedagogy, political science, jurisprudence, sociology, economics), and the university has the opportunity to choose one discipline.

The mathematical and natural science cycle consists of the main and optional parts and is shown for all areas of education, ranging from 420 hours (14 credits) to 1260 hours (42 credits) for the general cycle. The size of the base part was at least 50%, and the rest had to be allocated to the university component and the elective course of students. The next cycle of the curriculum in this area of ​​education consists of practice. By internships: educational and pedagogical (120 hours = 4 credits), professional basic (240 hours = 8 credits), professional profile (480 hours = 16 credits), total 840 hours (28 credits). The final state attestation consists of the history of the Fatherland (60 hours = 2 credits), national attestation (120 hours = 4 credits) and dissertation defense (120 hours = 4 credits), a total of 300 hours (10 credits). .

 In accordance with the curriculum for the profile, study areas, syllabuses, work programs developed by the faculty of the department on the basis of the above state standards and meeting the requirements for disciplines have been prepared.

Department of Primary Education

The Department of Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education trains 550,700 specialists in the field of pedagogy on the basis of the DBE  in higher education.

In accordance with this mission, the following goals are defined in the training of specialists at the academic level “bachelor” in the field of pedagogy:

Goal 1: To produce highly educated primary school teachers who are well developed, self-reliant and contribute to the development of national priorities;

Goal 2: To prepare teachers and educators with ethical, intellectual, humane and tolerant qualities that meet the requirements of the time, in order to improve their professional skills and continuous education;

Goal 3: Satisfy the methodological needs of future specialists with a complex of knowledge in the humanities, socio-economics, and mathematics in accordance with the requirements of the state educational standard and prepare teachers with the best methodological abilities;

Goal 4: To prepare high-potential multilingual teachers in order to increase the students’ sense of patriotism, the perception of universal values ​​and the formation of the necessary concepts for primary school students on a scientific basis by creating a holistic systemic view of the world.

Educational and methodological tasks of the department: Ensuring the quality of teacher training, taking into account the actualization of the content and structure of bachelor’s training in accordance with the educational standards of the Kyrgyz Republic;

Research objectives: To contribute to the increase of the scientific potential of the Batken region; activation of research activities of students;

Organizational and methodological issues: Ensuring the systematic work of the interdepartmental methodological seminar “Using modern aspects of improving the quality of teacher training.”

The department carries out departmental office work, educational and methodological work on the basis of a specially created nomenclature. The staffing table and the staffing table of the department have been developed and approved. Teachers’ individual work plans have been completed. Participation in mutual lessons is well organized. Decisions made by the institute and faculties are discussed in a timely manner by the teachers of the department and appropriate measures are taken. The use of a modular-rating system of training in teaching students has proven itself well. Based on the schedule created during the semester, teachers receive modules from students and evaluate their knowledge. Teachers give students assignments for independent work and check their results. Pupils participated in school, district and district Olympiads and achieved high results.

 While it may seem easy to train enough teachers, it is clear that training them to the right quality level is a difficult task. There are a number of reasons hindering the solution of this problem, which is hotly debated in the community.

For this, first of all, the institute has highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel in the field of pedagogy. Teachers of the department actively participate in scientific and methodological conferences and seminars. Every teacher works to revitalize research. Teachers write articles and make presentations at international and regional conferences. Associate professors Mitalipov K., Madumarov M., Uraimov Sh., Maksutov Z. help and advice to young teachers.

Madumarov’s research “Scientific and methodological foundations of integrated teaching of manas in higher education with the subject of history” is used by students and young scientists, teachers in educational and scientific work.

The teachers of the department prepared educational and methodological materials in accordance with the program of higher education, state educational standards and approved them in agreement with the Methodological Council of the faculty. Textbooks and manuals were written by teachers of the department, such as Madumarov M., Mitalipov K., Kashmatova Zh., Azimbaev B., Teshebaev M.K. Kalmurzaeva A.T. Author’s certificate for the program “Numerical solution of two-dimensional Naiver-Stokes equations”, created and taught innovative technologies in education, open educational resources (edu.ru; ru.wikipedia.org), university electronic libraries (ibooks.batmu .kg), educational portal IS AVN, 205, 204, 220 multimedia classes, use educational resources (Computer). Other teachers are planning and working on writing textbooks.

   From 2010 to 2022, the staff of the department published more than 40 scientific and methodological articles, 6 textbooks.

Information and library support of the educational process

 Students will be provided with textbooks. The book fund is replenished annually with new books, textbooks, teaching aids in the relevant disciplines.

Over the past 10 years, 23,929 textbooks have been published in pedagogical education in the humanities, the socio-economic cycle, 8,139 in the natural sciences, and 13,254 in professional disciplines.

The electronic library on the basis of the institute is located on the 1st floor of the 1st building. It includes electronic materials in all disciplines. Through it, students and teachers can access the electronic library.

The school enters into contracts with city and other libraries to provide students with textbooks.

The faculty is provided with all the necessary scientific, methodological and periodicals, textbooks and teaching aids, electronic textbooks and teaching aids, and the state of the book fund in its specialty can be noted as satisfactory. The book fund is replenished with 3461 copies of scientific, methodological and educational literature, textbooks and teaching aids. The printed literature prevails.

Students have the opportunity to use textbooks in the classroom and prepare at home for mastering their specialty. There are 2000 books on teacher education, 30% of which were published after 2000. It:

The total useful area of ​​the institute is 45,275 m2. On average, the total usable area per student is 17.7 m2. The school has 3 buildings. The areas of all buildings will be used for the implementation of higher education programs. Each faculty is allocated an auditorium fund, which is organized mainly for lectures, laboratory-practical, seminars. During the training, 75 classrooms, including 8 laboratories, were equipped with 120 computers fully connected to the Internet and wi-fi. It has the following material and technical base for conducting lectures and practical classes in the specialty. The department is provided with working programs, syllabuses, mass media, textbooks, teaching aids in all disciplines. The department has a complete material and technical base for students to receive the appropriate level of education.
