The department “Pedagogy and psychology” was established on september 15, 2021 by order of the rector of BatSU, doctor of economics, professor A. T. Gyyazov in connection with the division of the department “Pedagogical education” into two departments. The department “Pedagogy and psychology” is headed by Jamilya Ashirovna Kashmatova – candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of BatSU.

        The department of “Pedagogy and psychology” in accordance with the State educational standard of the Kyrgyz Republic prepares students with a bachelor’s degree in the direction of “Pedagogy”, in the profile “550700 – Pedagogy and methods of primary education” and also trains them as specialists.

        The goal of higher professional education in the main educational program in the field of education and training of specialists in the field of pedagogy, profile “550700 – Pedagogy and methods of primary education” is the training of teachers aimed at competence, capable of continuing the professional tasks of lifelong education in the context of globalization.

        Carries out training of students in this specialty in the disciplines specified in the curriculum, organizes adaptation, professional-basic and professional-profile and pre-diploma practices.

         The department “Pedagogy and psychology” also provides training in the disciplines “Pedagogy” and “Psychology” for students of other specialties studying at the institute.

      Currently, the department “Pedagogy and psychology” has 9 teachers. The number of candidates of sciences and associate professors – 4, senior teachers – 2, teachers – 3.

        The department “Pedagogy and psychology” on the profile “550700 – Pedagogy and methods of primary education” organizes final state attestation examinations and defense of qualification works after 4 years of full-time education and 5 years of correspondence education in accordance with the curriculum.

         It also assists graduates in attestation in the field of “Pedagogy and methods of primary education” based on the decision of the State attestation commission.
